Caring for your artwork

Original Artwork

Your original piece has been created using high quality materials to ensure it will last.

Your painting has been varnished for protection against sunlight and dust. The varnish prevents dust from bonding to the surface, although dust may settle on the artwork due to the beautifully textured nature of an original piece. To remove dust, gently use a soft white unused makeup or paint brush, moving from the centre outward. If your artwork needs more thorough cleaning then please contact a specialist to avoid causing permanent damage; and never use chemical cleaning products or water to clean your artworks.

Avoid displaying artwork in damp or humid conditions. Avoid displaying artwork in direct sunlight or near strong sources of heat as this may cause warping or discolouration. Maintain a temperature between 10°c and 30°c to prevent mould, fading, or warping.

GICLÉE prints

Our limited edition giclée prints are high quality, archival fine art prints.

Please never touch giclée prints with your bare hands as the natural oils present on the skin may cause damage. The wearing of cotton gloves is always advised if it is necessary to touch your print.

Additionally, we recommend you seek a professional framer to frame your giclée prints as soon as possible. This provides optimum protection for your print while also displaying it beautifully. We particularly love the appearance of our giclée prints under anti-reflective glass. Please ensure that materials touching the print are acid-free.

While the pigmented inks used in giclée prints are designed to retain their colour and quality over time, fading may occasionally occur if positioned in an area of direct sunlight, therefore we advise against this. To prevent mould or warping, avoid displaying artwork in damp or humid conditions, or areas of extreme temperatures.
